Weekend in Nashville

This past weekend I got to travel back to Nashville for a few days, and boy was it a jam packed weekend! It was so nice getting to see all my favorite people, as well as getting to see one of my best friends marry the man of her dreams! On September 22nd my girl Sam went from Miss. Mehall to Mrs. Costello and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day! With that being said, I thought it would be fun to take you all on the journey with me and share all the amazing moments of my trip.

The Friday before the wedding I got up super early — 5:30am to be exact — and made my way to the airport. I was so excited to see everyone that my patience was wearing thin throughout the traveling process. Once I arrived in Nashville I took an Uber to Kenny & Co to see everyone there. It felt so nice being back in the showroom, it was like I never left. We all were talking and laughing just like we always used to do. That place and those people will always hold a special place in my heart!

After my visit at the showroom it was time to get ready to be reunited with Sam and begin the celebration at the rehearsal dinner. They had it at this place called Hopsmith Tavern in Mid-Town which has some of the best food in Nashville so I was super excited. Once I got there and saw Sam my excitement and emotions were in full force. I also got to see so many other people that I have became such good friends with, as well as people that I had never met before. All in all, everyone had such a blast that night and it was only just the beginning.

Before I talk about the wedding that happened on that Saturday, I first want to mention something pretty awesome. So before Sam was engaged she had this idea that she wanted to start a Wedding blog documenting all the wedding planning and milestones throughout the year in-between her engagement and the wedding. So when she finally got engaged she launched her blog Marriage and Milestones and I couldn’t have been more proud. If you haven’t visited her blog yet, be sure to go check it out and read all about her planning process and how she stayed focused and sane this past year. If you are a bride-to-be or are someone who is about to be engaged and is stressed out just thinking about whats to come you NEED to read her blog. It will be such a wonderful tool for you and your fiancé. She also recently rebranded and is now creating lifestyle and fashion posts as well. So even if you aren’t engaged and are not going to be anytime soon, her blog can still be helpful and a good and fun read for you. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Also, if you are a sucker for weddings like I am she will also probably post a blog all about her wedding and you can read more about how magical the day really was!

Anyway, back to last weekend. When I say that this wedding was beyond incredible I am not exaggerating. What most people don’t know is that Sam pretty much planned that whole day by herself, with of course the help of her now HUSBAND Justin. To see such a magical night made me so proud to call her my friend. Plus I am really hoping that when I ask her to plan my wedding she say’s yes ;). All in all, she did an amazing job and I am sure i’m not the only one who agrees with that. We danced the night away to some serious classics and just had the best time. After the reception was over that did not mean that the party had to end. We all went down to Broadway and continued the celebration at Tequila Cowboy where we enjoyed each others company some more before we all had to say goodnight. I was leaving the next day so I was sad that the night was coming to an end. I am not quite sure when I will be back to Nashville or when I will see these people again so it was a bit bittersweet.

That next day I was back on a plane headed home to Tampa to cuddle with my pups and of course Mitchell. Although this week was a short trip, it was quite amazing. So to Sam and Justin: I wish you both nothing but love and happiness on this new chapter of your life! Your love for each other is like no other and I am so happy that I got to witness that this past weekend. I love you both so much and like you promised me Sam, y’all better come visit me here in Tampa before you start having kids :). xoxo
